About the firm
More than four decades bridging the gap between the public and the IRS
MMWA was established by Max M. Wayman in 1985 to provide services to law firms, accounting firms, private businesses and individuals in areas involving civil and criminal controversies primarily arising under the Internal Revenue Code.
Over the last 40 years, the firm has grown to include a large business in background research, location research, pre-employment screening and service of subpoena.

Meet the founder
Max M. Wayman, EA, CFE
Founder & CEO
Founded Max M. Wayman & Associates in 1985 following a 10-year career with the Internal Revenue Service, during which time he served as a special agent in the Intelligence Division (later known as the Criminal Investigation Division) and received specialized training at Glynco Naval Air Station, Georgia, in seizure and arrest techniques, locating witnesses and assets, indirect methods calculations, handgun marksmanship, self-defense and providing testimony at trial.
